Biography
The quartet Rearview Mirror comprises siblings Adam Ptacek on vocals and Jason Ptacek handling bass duties, alongside guitarist Matt Olson and drummer T.J. Kammer. Producer Steve Lillywhite, celebrated for his prior work with U2, Morrissey, and Talking Heads, first encountered the group while they performed in a Wisconsin bar. Having learned of them via the Internet, Lillywhite contacted their manager and obtained a CD of their independent recordings, which he adored. He then chose them as the inaugural act signed to his newly launched Gobstopper Records and issued their debut album in spring 2002.
