Biography
Remedy Motel formed as an Americana outfit based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Longtime collaborators Mica Johnson, Nate Semerad, and Mike Digregorio, who first connected in high school, anchor the project; together they have issued seven albums under the Remedy Motel name with a rotating cast of contributors. Among those releases are the 2002 effort “6 Days in Westchester,” the 2003 set “A Better Life,” “My Favorite Record” from 2005, the self-titled “Remedy Motel” in 2006, and the most recent, critically praised “We Are All Around You” that appeared in 2023. Over time the roster has expanded to encompass additional writers and performers drawn from every region of the United States as well as both the northern and southern stretches of the California coast. Their recordings blend Americana, country, and rock elements while centering on themes of love, loss, and life on the road. Although the group once crisscrossed the country for extensive tours and numerous festival appearances, its members now concentrate primarily on studio work, writing, recording, and producing fresh material.
