Rev. Clay Evans

Born on June 23, 1925, in Brownsville, TN, gospel singer Rev. Clay Evans received ordination as a Baptist minister twenty-five years afterward. He subsequently established the Fellowship Baptist Church in Chicago and, between 1971 and 1976, served as the founding member of the National Board Chairman of Operation PUSH. Evans appeared as a featured soloist on multiple albums by the Rev. Clay Evans & Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church and additionally released a substantial catalog of solo recordings on labels including Savoy and Jewel.
