Robert Ellis Orrall

Born on 4 May 1955 in Winthrop, Massachusetts, USA, American country singer Robert Ellis Orrall first collaborated with Carlene Carter during the early 1980s before relocating to Nashville. He supplied country hits to Mason Dixon with “When Karen Comes Around” and to Shenandoah with “Next To You, Next To Me,” then secured his own Top 20 placement in 1992 via “Boom! It Was Over.” The album Flying Colors displays the same pop-country blend found on Dr. Hook’s releases. Throughout the new millennium he has kept writing songs, continued producing, and overseen his own imprint, Infinity Cat Recordings. Orrall is also a prolific painter.
