Roch Voisine

Even prior to launching his professional path, Roch Voisine composed music while still a teenager and later pursued studies in physiotherapy at Canada’s University of Ottawa. He launched his solo career in 1988 with the release of a self-titled debut album that same year. The following year he partnered with Stephane Lessard to write and record the track “Helene.” Both the single and its accompanying album achieved strong success throughout Quebec and France, ultimately surpassing one million copies sold. Roch Voisine later issued the albums Double in 1990 and I’ll Always Be There in 1993.
