Biography
Rodney Oliver and Joe Cooley assembled the Los Angeles rap trio alongside “General” Jeff Page. Their first project, Me and Joe, surfaced in 1989. Although sales remained modest, singles such as “Everlasting Bass” and “Cooley High” circulated widely enough in underground circles to attract a contract from Atlantic. The resulting Three the Hard Way appeared in 1990 yet failed to register stronger commercial impact. They also released the Nastymix album Get Ready to Roll.
