Biography
Ronnie Bowman entered the world in North Carolina and performed gospel material with relatives beginning at age three and continuing into his late teens. His voice proves equally at home on longstanding bluegrass numbers and on material written by present-day singer/songwriters. Public notice first arrived when he served as lead singer and bassist for the Lonesome River Band in the company of Sammy Shelor, Dan Tyminski, and Tim Austin. Since that period he has collected multiple American Bluegrass Music Awards, among them Male Vocalist of the Year in 1995, 1998, and 1999.
