Royal Wade Kimes

Royal Wade Kimes established himself over a ten-year stretch as a professional songwriter based in Nashville prior to issuing his first full-length recording, Another Man's Sky, in 1996. Long before stepping into the music industry, Kimes—who traces his roots to Ozark Mountain bankrobbers—served as a ranchhand for Loretta Lynn. An unexpected introduction to Eddy Arnold proved instrumental in securing him a songwriting post in Nashville. Having supplied successful material to multiple performers, Kimes chose to step forward as a new traditionalist vocalist during the mid-'90s.
