Biography
From a young age, Argentinean singer and accordion player Rubén Juarez immersed himself in traditional music by beginning accordion lessons at six. His first stage appearance came in 1956, when he performed with Orquesta Típica del Club Atletico Independiente. An introduction to Horacio Quintana secured him a contract with Odeón, and he entered the studio for the first time on September 4, 1969. Once his debut album appeared, Juarez launched a series of successful tours throughout Latin America and was named Best Tango Performer in 1973. He later made his screen debut in Tango Bar, sharing the cast with Raul Julia and Valeria Lynch.
