Biography
Ruby Andrews crafted melodious late-1960s recordings that cemented her status as a seductive Windy City soul singer. She first appeared on the Zodiac label in 1967, attaining her biggest hit that same year with "Casanova (Your Playing Days Are Over)." Zodiac issued further successful sides that included You Made a Believer (Out of Me) in 1969 and Everybody Saw You the following year. Andrews subsequently recorded blues-infused material for Ichiban under the direction of the outrageous Swamp Dogg.
