Sajjan Adeeb, a pop singer whose polished approach draws upon Bollywood, folk traditions, and hip-hop, scored his breakthrough success in 2016 with the track “Ishqan De Lekhe.” His first screen appearance came via the 2019 film Laiye Je Yaarian.

Born Sajjan Singh Sittu in Bathinda, he earned the nickname Adeeb (“poet”) from college classmates. He began performing as a child and entered numerous singing competitions. After completing studies at Punjabi University, a video of one of his live performances was posted online by friends, prompting interest from record labels. That exposure produced the 2016 single “Ishqan De Lekhe,” issued by Times Music/Speed Records.

Additional releases followed, among them the 2017 song “Aa Chak Challa,” written by Bollywood composer Jassi Katyal and lyricist Manwinder Maan. Adeeb reached theaters in the Punjabi-language feature Laiye Je Yaarian, which contained his collaboration “Darshan Mehnge” alongside singer, songwriter, and actor Amrinder Gill.
