At the age of sixteen, Samantha Fox achieved fame in the United Kingdom by posing topless for the Daily Sun newspaper. This modeling success quickly translated into a deal with a record label. In 1986, she put out her debut single titled "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)." The track established the template for her output, consisting of lighthearted, provocative dance-pop tracks featuring solid rhythms but underdeveloped tunes. Fox consistently prioritized her physical attractiveness throughout her professional life, placing it above her musical contributions. Still, she enjoyed a respectable run of chart successes that kicked off with the British number-three entry "Touch Me." Following closely, "Do Ya, Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)" also reached the top ten in the U.K.

Her material soon appeared across the Atlantic, achieving comparable popularity there. The first album, Touch Me, earned gold certification, propelled by the title song climbing to the fourth position on the charts. Although the subsequent releases underperformed, "Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)," which appeared on her sophomore effort Samantha Fox from 1987, managed to secure a number-three spot in the United States. That album too received gold status, matching the achievement of 1988's I Wanna Have Some Fun. However, commercial success in the form of hits ceased after the latter release. In later years, Fox ventured into the field of acting.
