Savant

Aleksander Vinter, a Norwegian producer, performer, and DJ, works chiefly under the alias Savant. Electronic dance music forms the core of his catalog, though tags such as dubstep, drum'n'bass, chiptune, electro-house, and glitch-hop have all been attached to his releases. In 2013 Vinter stated that he had already finished more than 10,000 tracks spanning an even broader range of styles. His first formal album, Outbreak, appeared in 2009 under the name Vinter in Hollywood and received a nomination for the Norwegian Spelleman Award. Two years later he issued his earliest Savant material on the SectionZ label. From 2011 through 2014 he delivered ten albums under that alias, adding EPs and dozens of free digital downloads along the way. He also supplied remixes for many other artists, among them Kelis' "Milkshake," Zedd's "Spectrum," and Armand Van Helden's "Into Your Eyes." Invasion arrived in 2015, ranking among his most animated projects to date. In 2017 Savant moved into film scoring by contributing to the soundtrack of the horror film The Black Room, which Goldenlane Records issued in the United States.
