Stefy

Stefy blends rock elements with electronic pop through the contributions of keyboardist Jason Gaviati, guitarist Sean Meyer, drummer Andreas Brobjer, and vocalist Stefy Rae. Gaviati had already played in multiple groups and joined Samantha Ronson's live band before linking with Rae to launch Stefy, Meyer handled scattered live dates during his studies at the Musicians Institute, and Brobjer worked as a drummer available for hire. Drawing from Pink, Blondie, and No Doubt, the band shaped an accessible yet mildly edgy style that surfaced on their opening single, "Chelsea," which landed on the John Tucker Must Die soundtrack. Their first full-length release, The Orange Album, appeared on Wind-Up in late summer 2006.
