Biography
Sue Keller, a skilled ragtime pianist who performs vocals on occasion, began piano lessons at age four and has issued four albums thus far through the HVR imprint she controls. Her training also included flute study, vocal coaching, guitar performance, and roles in school opera productions. After holding positions across numerous musical fields, among them rock ensembles, she turned her attention increasingly to earlier jazz and ragtime styles. In 1992 she launched Ragtime Press, which issues compositions by lesser-known rag writers, together with the HVR label to preserve her own recordings.
