Sysia DaNae

Sysia DaNae approaches her work as a vibe curator rather than a conventional performer. Raised in Denton, Texas, she channels the essence of a new-school R&B songstress whose material fuses Pop, Dancehall, and Alternative Hip-Hop into one combustible style. Music functions for her less as an occupation than as an essential force; she has described it as “the air I breathe. It’s the water to my soul.”

Songwriting entered her life early, with original material already flowing from her pen by age ten. The resulting sound pairs silky-smooth, agile vocals with production that lands on an infectious groove, yet her sharpest distinction lies in lyrical fearlessness. Themes of heartbreak, house parties, self-love, and the grind of pursuing ambition surface without hesitation.

Recognition arrived swiftly when she reached the finals of the DFW Icons songwriters’ competition, a placement that affirmed she possessed the goods required of a star. Her first single, “Head Up” (2022), arrived as a motivational power-up urging listeners to recognize their own value and disregard external static. She followed it with the Dancehall-infused R&B cut “B.A.B.Y” (feat. Coriano Gipson), engineered for endless rotation. The Freshman EP “B.F.A.B” (Born From a Boombox) (2024) further mapped her range, spotlighting atmospheric standout “Love Game” alongside spirited track “Scrubs.” More recent offerings “Beauty Standard” and “Vibe” continue to trace her evolving definition of contemporary R&B.

A graduate of the Los Angeles Academy of Artists and Music Production (LAAMP), she has moved from the historic stage at Dallas’ Gilley’s into headphones worldwide, intent on releasing honest, vibrant, and unforgettable music that invites listeners to ride her wave.
