Biography
Hailing from Texas, Tanner Patrick works as an emotive singer and songwriter whose sound centers on acoustic textures shaped by emo within a pop context. Although born in Los Angeles in 1991, he relocated to Dallas with his family near the age of four. Drawn to music early on, he took up guitar at ten after receiving the instrument as a Christmas present. Home recordings of his own material followed, and at seventeen he launched his first group, Disco Curtis. The band secured a deal with MySpace/Interscope, earning positive notice through performances on the Vans Warped Tour and opening slots alongside Forever the Sickest Kids, Boys Like Girls, and additional acts. After Disco Curtis disbanded in 2010, Patrick moved back to Los Angeles to focus on solo work. Several singles preceded the arrival of his debut full-length album, The Waiting Home, in 2014.
