Biography
Originating in Cicero, Illinois, the American Breed came together as a 1960s rock quartet fronted by Gary Loizzo. Their breakthrough arrived early in 1968 when the gold-certified single "Bend Me, Shape Me" climbed into the Top Ten. Drummer Andre Fischer and keyboard player Kevin Murphy later joined Rufus.
