Biography
Emerging from Hampden, ME, the Killing Moon functions as a five-piece rock ensemble whose sonic palette blends darkness with screamo accents and brass textures routed through effect pedals. Formed initially as a side project by hometown friends Trevor Geaghan on bass, Ryan Hannan on vocals and guitar, Dan Lafayette on trombone, Chris Michaud on baritone sax and vocals, and Jeremy Yehle on drums, the young outfit soon noticed larger turnouts at joint local appearances than any of their separate main bands could muster. That momentum prompted a shift to treating the Killing Moon as their sole commitment. After signing with Fearless in November 2005, the group issued its debut EP, A Message Through Your Teeth, in March 2006.
