Elizabeth Long, the Dove Award-winning multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, fronts The Little Roy and Lizzy Show alongside veteran picker and all-around entertainer Little Roy Lewis. The bluegrass-gospel troupe operates from Lincolnton, Georgia, the same town that houses the Lewis Family, widely known as the first family of bluegrass gospel. Long and Lewis list Earl Scruggs, Marty Stuart, Patty Loveless, Merle Haggard, George Jones, John Hartford, and Mac Wiseman among their key influences. From an early age Long developed her skills and now plays fiddle, guitar, autoharp, bass, banjo, and mandolin with equal facility. She first collaborated with Lewis on the 2009 release Breaking Like Dawn and returned for the 2010 follow-up Straight from the Heart of Dixie. The larger ensemble, featuring Nathan Stewart, Haley Stiltner, Tyler Biddix, and Bennett Boswell, delivered Lord in the Morning in 2012, Good Time, Down Home in 2016, and Going Home in 2017. In 2015 Long issued the solo project Blueberry Pie, which reached number two on the Billboard bluegrass chart.
