Biography
The Meat Purveyors, an insurgent country band based in Austin, Texas, operated under the guidance of vocalist Jo Walston and songwriter/guitarist Bill Anderson. Once the group secured a contract with Bloodshot, they released their debut LP, Sweet in the Pants, during the first half of 1998. Twelve months later came More Songs About Buildings and Cows.
