New Sins, the London duo pairing New Young Pony Club keyboardist Lou Hayter with producer Nick Phillips, arrived in early 2008 via the single "It Doesn't Work Like That." Pressed on 7" for Elastic, the boutique label Phillips launched with producers Andrew Hale and Paul Byrne, the borderline torpid cut climbed to number two on NME's Club NME chart that February. Early the next year brought the follow-up, the relaxed yet relatively upbeat early '80s-influenced dance-pop single "Feelings Have Changed."
