Biography
In the summer of 1997, singer/guitarist Stephen Baraboo and singer/bassist Melissa Kozlik launched the indie-pop combo the Teacups from Racine, Wisconsin. What began as an acoustic duo soon became a three-piece once drummer Aaron Vold joined, prompting the band to release its debut EP From Zero...To Infinity on Kindercore that September. Their first full-length, This Will Come Back to Haunt You, surfaced in mid-1998. The following summer the trio switched to the name Por Avion and issued a split single with Kitty Vermont; early 2000 brought the EP To His Heart, Bidding It Have No Fear.
