Biography
Four alumni of the Leningrad Conservatory launched the Terem Quartet, with the group’s four young members performing on accordion, balalaika, and two domras. The ensemble performs longstanding folk pieces alongside original works, setting itself apart through buoyant and playfully unconventional stylistic mixtures. The quartet has joined WOMAD for several tours.
