Biography
Mike Lindsay and Sam Genders, both formerly of Britain’s Tunng, make up the duo Throws, whose sound fuses post-rock with introspective synth pop. Moving away from the more dominant folk leanings of their prior band, the pair recorded their self-titled debut at Lindsay’s Reykjavik studio. The June 2016 release on Thrill Jockey and Full Time Hobby features contributions from the experimental string quartet Amiina, known for their collaborations with Sigur Rós, and Sigurlaug Gísladóttir of Múm.
