Tina Adair stepped onto stages before large crowds as early as age three. By eight she had already worked inside a recording studio, leaving a strong impression on everyone who heard the resulting tracks. As both singer and songwriter she handles fiddle and mandolin, regularly touring and appearing with her family band Bluegrass Edition alongside guitarists and vocalists Keith Adair and Tom Perkins, bassist Debra Adair, and banjo player Jerry Adair.

Her first bluegrass album, Just You Wait & See, came out in 1997 on Sugar Hill Records and featured the songs “By the Time It Gets Dark,” “These Tears,” “Some People’s Lives,” “Midst of the Morning Rain,” and “Crazy Love.” An array of notable players contributed, among them Charlie Cushman on banjo, Alan O’Bryant and Keith Little supplying background vocals, Chris Thile on mandolin, Bryan Sutton on guitar, Viktor Krauss on bass, and Aubrey Haynie on fiddle. Grammy Award holder Jerry Douglas supplied Dobro and produced the project, assembling a striking roster of talent for a debut release.
