Hailing from Canada, Christian artist and worship leader Amanda Cook—previously credited as Amanda Falk and also active as Falcon—specializes in passionate, faith-driven pop songs as a singer and songwriter. Recognition arrived early when she captured a Juno Award for her 2004 debut, Amanda Falk, after which she sustained a devoted following via projects such as 2007’s Beautiful and 2010’s In Between the Now & Then. Brave New World topped the Christian Albums chart in 2015, and House on the Hill returned her to the Christian Top Ten in 2019. Releases issued under the Falcon name include 2020’s Nova and 2022’s State of the Union.

Amanda Lindsey Falk entered the world in 1984 in Niverville, Manitoba, spent her formative years on a farm outside Winnipeg, and first performed with a local worship ensemble at age 16. Issued under her maiden name, the self-titled Amanda Falk arrived in 2004 and claimed the Juno Award for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year. Two further favorably received albums, Beautiful and In Between the Now & Then, followed in 2007 and 2010.

Her relocation to Redding, California, in 2010 placed her within the Bethel Music worship community; around the same period she married and took the surname Cook. Brave New World, her fourth solo album and first on the Bethel Music label, marked a breakthrough by reaching number one on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart and securing the GMA Dove Award for Inspirational Album of the Year. The equally introspective House on the Hill appeared in 2019, charting in the Christian Top Ten in both the U.S. and the U.K. while addressing the period after her marriage ended.

Adopting the Falcon moniker, she resurfaced with Nova in 2020 together with the companion release Nova (Piano Sessions). State of the Union, her second Falcon album, arrived in 2022 and contained the track “While We Wait,” co-written with Jason Ingram and Chris Davenport. An EP of ambient versions of five songs from State of the Union followed later that year.
