All Sons & Daughters

Established in 2009 by Leslie Anne Jordan on guitar and vocals alongside David Alan Leonard on piano and vocals, the Christian contemporary music pair initially performed as Sons & Daughters before adopting the name All Sons & Daughters to sidestep overlap with a Scottish rock group sharing the original title. Serving as worship leaders at the nondenominational Journey Church in Franklin, Tennessee, they produce rootsy country-folk reminiscent of the Last Bison and the Civil Wars. The duo first delivered three extended plays—Brokenness Aside: EP No. 1, Prone to Wander: A Collection of Hymns EP, and Reason to Sing: EP No. 2—prior to unveiling their debut full-length album, Season One, in 2012. Later that year came The Longing: EP No. 3, followed by the live album Live in 2013. Their self-titled release surfaced in 2014, marking the first project to reach the Top Ten on both the Christian Albums and Folk Albums charts while also placing in the upper half of the Billboard 200. One year afterward they issued the live LP Great Are You Lord. Drawing inspiration from journeys across Europe, the pair put out Poets & Saints in 2016; their pastor Jamie George wrote the accompanying volume Poets & Saints: Eternal Insight, Extravagant Love, Ordinary People, issued through the nonprofit publisher David C. Cook.
