David Leonard

David Leonard built his profile during the 2010s as a Christian singer, songwriter, and producer, achieving recognition as one member of the worship folk-pop duo All Sons & Daughters. Once that partnership concluded in 2018, he stepped forward as a solo act, unveiling The Wait as his first album in 2019 and delivering Plans three years later.

Before linking with singer/guitarist Leslie Anne Jordan in All Sons & Daughters, the Arkansas native spent time in the Christian Southern rock band Jackson Waters and later handled keyboard duties on tour for the leading CCM group Needtobreathe. From his base at Journey Church in Franklin, Tennessee, Leonard started collaborating in 2009 with fellow worship leader Jordan, and the pair soon signed to the Integrity label. Their folk-rooted worship material quickly reached a wide audience across the decade; across four full-length albums the duo earned Grammy and Dove Award nominations while appearing on the Christian, Folk, Heatseekers, and Billboard Top 200 charts. The split followed the 2016 release of Poets & Saints.

Leonard opened his solo chapter with The Wait in 2019, an album that traced his personal and spiritual path. He signed with Provident Records before issuing his next project, the more pop-centric Plans, in 2023.
