Kari Jobe, the Dallas-rooted worship leader and contemporary Christian songwriter who has built an international following, spent more than a decade traveling the globe with assorted ministry teams before accepting the worship pastor position at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas, in 2006. Her self-titled debut arrived in February 2009 through Integrity, a Columbia imprint, presenting a collection of uplifting songs she co-authored with Chris Tomlin, Ed Cash, Paul Baloche, Klaus Kuehn, and Mia Fieldes. The project quickly climbed to number three on the Christian Albums chart, crossed into Billboard’s Top 200, and earned her two Dove Awards.

Two years later she returned with Where I Find You on Sparrow Records, a Universal imprint; the follow-up also emphasized inspirational themes, topped the Christian Albums chart, and secured a Grammy nomination. In 2014 Jobe issued the concert recording Majestic, captured live with new material at Dallas’s historic Majestic Theatre. She followed it the next year with Majestic Revisited, which presented studio reinterpretations of several songs from the live set.

Garden, her third studio album, appeared in 2017; produced by Jeremy Edwardson, whose résumé includes Jesus Culture, Hillsong United, and Jon Foreman, the hopeful collection took shape amid personal loss. She reunited with Cody Carnes the following year for the duet “Cover the Earth,” then joined Carnes and Elevation Worship in 2020 on the single “The Blessing,” which reached number two on the Billboard Christian Songs chart. The Blessing (Live) later earned a Grammy nomination.
