Rita Springer

Rita Springer, a singer, songwriter, and worship leader now based in Texas, launched her professional journey during the early 1990s within the scene connected to the Association of Vineyard Churches that originated in California, her home state. A pianist from an early age, she issued her first independent album, Love Covers, in 1995 and went on to produce a series of well-received worship and Christian pop projects through imprints including Floodgate, E1, and Word. After the 2000 release All I Have, her initial live recording, Created to Worship, appeared. During the following ten years she put out five additional albums, helped establish the women’s conference Fragrant Oil, and founded the worship school DIVE (Deep-Innovative-Vertical-Expression) to prepare emerging leaders. After issuing two albums on the globally distributed Integrity label—2011’s In This Forever and 2012’s The Playlist—she brought out her debut book, Finding Eve. Around the same time she moved to Southlake, Texas, and accepted the role of artist in residence at Gateway Church, through whose label she issued the 2017 studio album Battles.
