Trudy Lynn

Having grown up in Houston, Lynn maintains the Texas city as her primary base of operations. Her entry into music came during the final years of the 1960s, when she worked as a Stax-styled R&B vocalist and served as an opener for touring acts that included Ike & Tina Turner. In the late 1980s she made her first recordings for the British Ichiban imprint, headquartered in Georgia, delivering albums that fused southern soul with Delta blues and were overseen by producer Buzz Amato. She continues to perform on multiple blues festival lineups, most often outside the United States.
