Hailing from Texas Hill Country, the young singer-songwriter Ty Myers rose to prominence in 2023 after his raw ballad "Tie That Binds" spread rapidly online and drew a wave of record-label interest. Several subsequent singles that fused country with blues-inflected rock led to a contract with Columbia, which issued his EP Ends of the Earth in 2024.

Myers grew up in Dripping Springs, Texas on a cattle ranch held by his family through six generations. His father and uncle both pursued music, the latter helping establish the ’90s country group Lonestar. After taking up guitar at age 12 and channeling the discipline modeled by his relatives, he was performing regularly by his mid-teens and had assembled a substantial set of original material. Issued in early 2023, "Tie That Binds" became his first single and gained viral traction once a widely followed TikTok account began promoting it. Later tracks such as "Drinkin' Alone" and "Tomorrow's Out of Sight" also connected with listeners, prompting a management agreement and, soon after, a Columbia deal. The 17-year-old continued issuing singles including "Malibu" and "Stay" across 2024, culminating in the October arrival of Ends of the Earth.
