UHF

UHF originated from Portland, where drummer Matt Johnson and bassist/guitarist Jeff Nelson first crossed paths with siblings Jeremy and Jordan Leff in 1998. The quartet promptly brought the Leff brothers into the fold, assigning vocals to Jeremy and guitar to Jordan, then captured their initial recordings as Pieces shortly after assembling. Issued in 2000, the concept album Lottery earned modest traction across the Northwest indie circuit. Two years later the band surfaced again with another psychedelic pop collection, the Gregg Williams-produced If It Was Easy.
