UK podcasters @yhhtmpc captured the atmosphere two years earlier by noting “A jazzy Lou Reed, film noir, Miles Davis vibe”. That same year Post to the Wire heard “Like Leonard Cohen in a cosmic country folk dream". Wayne Gillespie has sustained a distinctive body of work throughout Australasia from 1984 onward, appearing live with Suzanne Vega, Chris Whitley, Stan Ridgeway, Eleanor McEvoy, Colin Hay, Ed Kuepper & Sir Dave Dobbyn. His most recent album, FRAZZ, arose from a partnership with drummer Rob Grosser, whose résumé includes engagements with Jimmy Barnes, Bob Daisley, Tim Gaze, Bob Margolin (Muddy Waters) and Deep Purple‘s Jon Lord.
