Biography
Marking When in Rome's sole brush with widespread recognition, the single "The Promise" from 1988 delivered the band's peak commercial payoff. This trio issued only a single album under its own name before receding from view. Clive Farrington, Andrew Mann, and Michael Floreale had previously played together in the Manchester act Leisure, which included Corinne Drewery, who later fronted the one-hit wonder Swing out Sister.
