White Sun operates as a Los Angeles-based new age ensemble whose music weaves together worldbeat, pop, folk, and reggae textures. The group first concentrated on setting yogic mantras to melody, capturing a Grammy with the 2016 album White Sun II before steadily widening its creative range through both concert appearances and studio work. Their 2022 release, Mystic Mirror, earned a second Grammy in the Best New Age Album category.

Formed in 2015, the trio consists of lead singer Gurujas, once a member of the Cleveland Orchestra Children's Chorus; Harijiwan, a master of the gong and longtime Kundalini yoga instructor; and Adam Berry, an Emmy-winning composer for film and television. They issued their self-titled debut independently that year, then placed White Sun II with the Be Why label in 2016. The follow-up reached number two on Billboard’s world albums chart and number one on the new age chart before securing the Best New Age Album Grammy.

White Sun Gong, an album devoted entirely to Harijiwan’s solo gong performances, appeared in 2018 together with White Song III.

Beyond its yogic mantras and chants, the ensemble’s work incorporates symphonic and pop dimensions, shaped most prominently by Gurujas’s gentle vocals and the polished instrumental contributions and arrangements of Harijiwan and Berry. In addition to studio projects such as 2021’s White Sun Sadhana, the group built a following through live shows and documented that activity with the concert album Interpretation of Dreams in 2022. The following February, White Sun received its second Grammy for the peaceful Mystic Mirror.
