New York rapper Wiki ventures beyond standard east coast hip-hop conventions by introducing fresh perspectives into his narratives, beats, and delivery techniques. Following joint projects alongside Sporting Life, Hak, Lil Ugly Mane, and additional artists across multiple collectives, he transitioned to independent work and issued well-received projects such as the 2021 Navy Blue-produced Half God.

Born Patrick Morales in 1993 and raised in New York, the MC and producer cultivated an early passion for hip-hop, commencing skill development during sixth grade under the guidance of his math and Spanish instructors, both Bronx natives with deep appreciation for the genre. Drawing his moniker from Wikipedia before abbreviating it to Wiki, Morales absorbed influences from Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, and Notorious B.I.G. alongside acts like the Ramones and Suicide, elements that later shaped his wide-ranging approach. In 2011 he co-founded the hip-hop group Ratking together with Sporting Life and Hak, which issued its first full-length release, So It Goes, in 2014 via the XL Recordings-affiliated imprint HXC. A second album, 700 Fill, surfaced in 2015, after which Wiki unveiled his initial solo mixtape, Lil Me, toward year's end. Hak exited Ratking in 2016 to focus on solo endeavors, prompting Wiki to align with Lil Ugly Mane and Bay Area rapper Antwon in the new ensemble Secret Circle. Early 2017 brought the joint EP What Happened to Fire? alongside Your Old Droog, after which Wiki entered the studio for his first proper album. Enlisting producers such as Kaytranada, Earl Sweatshirt, and Alex Epton, he delivered No Mountains in Manhattan in fall 2017 through XL. Secret Circle dissolved in 2018, leading to Wiki's second solo effort, Oofie, the next year. That release included contributions from recurring associates Lil Ugly Mane and Your Old Droog as well as Princess Nokia and Denzel Curry. In 2021 Wiki presented his third album, Half God. Entirely crafted by Navy Blue and incorporating appearances from Earl Sweatshirt, MIKE, and further guests, the atmospheric and filmic set conjured images of victory and loss amid urban life.
