Will Lee

At a tender age, Will Lee received his initial drum kit as a holiday gift. Viewing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan's television program prompted his full commitment to music. Once his family relocated from San Antonio to Miami, he entered a group for the first time, drumming and singing before shifting to bass duties. Michael and Randy Brecker recruited him for the New York-based Dreams, where he performed alongside Billy Cobham. After that ensemble dissolved, Lee worked with Horace Silver, Bette Midler, and Barry Manilow while entering the jingles field. Signing with Go Jazz yielded his debut album, Oh!, and he also joined Paul Shaffer, musical director of David Letterman's late-night TV show.
