Biography
Before stepping into the spotlight with his own recordings in 2008, Taiwanese Mandopop performer Sung Nien-yu—known professionally as Xiao Yu—devoted his initial phase to composing material and handling production duties for other artists.
Although his introductory full-length Classmate Xiao Yu That's Me earned favorable notice that year, the 2009 successor Just Standing Here elevated him to widespread recognition after occupying Taiwan’s G-Music album sales chart for more than twenty straight weeks. One More Time arrived in 2012 and secured a Best Mandarin Male Singer nomination at the 24th Golden Melody Awards. A five-year pause began in 2013 during which he fulfilled compulsory military service and moved to a new label; he resurfaced in 2017 with the Warner Music release With You.
