Yannick Bovy

Flemish crooner Yannick Bovy, widely regarded as Belgium’s answer to Michael Bublé, first fell under the spell of big-band music while absorbing his grandparents’ Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole records in childhood. Urged by his musician father to pursue singing, he sang regularly with swing groups, reached the second round of The X-Factor, and was subsequently discovered by Milk Inc.’s Regi Penxten, who featured him on the 2007 single Better World Without You. After sharpening his craft with the Metropole Big Band and the North Side Big Band, Bovy issued his debut LP, Better Man, in 2012.
