Biography
Following Cibo Matto’s breakup, Yuka Honda turned to solo projects while also teaming up with other musicians. Her first album under her own name, Memories Are My Only Witness, appeared in 2001 on Tzadik and included playing from former bandmates Timo Ellis and Duma Love. In 2002 she went back to Japan to work with Yoshimi P-We of the Boredoms; those sessions produced the 2003 release Flower with No Color. At the same time she prepared her next solo record, which surfaced in fall 2004 as Eucademix. Heart Chamber Phantoms, issued in 2010, drew on a supporting cast that featured Sean Lennon and John Zorn.
