Zeina

R&B singer Zeina traces her personal history across several continents. She entered the world in Brooklyn as the daughter of Lebanese and Egyptian parents, then relocated to Canada while still young, spending time in both Montreal and Toronto before a short stint in Los Angeles during the initial phase of her recording efforts. Those repeated shifts find expression in the languid, ethereal quality of her R&B sound, nowhere more clearly than on her 2024 breakthrough release Eastend Confessions.

After completing a period of medical studies at the University of Montreal, Zeina turned fully toward music. She began issuing singles under her own name in 2016 and first drew notice with “Fallin,” a song from her introductory EP Odd One Out. Additional tracks arrived at a measured pace in subsequent years, many of them created alongside producer LosHendrix (SZA, Kehlani). Among the strongest were 2020’s “Suburbs” and “Consequences,” the sensual 2021 cut “Touch,” 2022’s “Give Me Time,” and 2023’s “Nasty,” a viral hit later reworked to include Palestinian rapper Saint Levant. The same post-millennial R&B sensibilities reached their fullest statement on her debut album, 2024’s Eastend Confessions, which included “Nasty” and “Give Me Time” alongside the notable selections “Hooked” and “Take Me Down.”
