Adem Ilhan from Britain functions as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose pastoral pop incorporates diverse instruments alongside lyrics marked by wistful tones and irreverent humor. Starting out in his teenage period, he contributed bass to the acclaimed post-rock group Fridge during the creation of their four albums and multiple singles with EPs. Domino became his label home upon signing in 2003, a roster that encompassed such varied acts as Franz Ferdinand and Juana Molina. The year 2004 saw the arrival of his initial release Homesongs, which was succeeded by Love and Other Planets in 2006 before the 2008 issuance of Takes, an assortment of acoustic cover versions.
