aKING

Formed in South Africa as a trad and roots rock outfit, aKING originated from the union of ex-Fokofpolisiekar musicians Hunter Kennedy and Jaco Venter with Laudo Liebenberg and Hennie Van Halen. In February 2008 the group issued its debut full-length effort, Dutch Courage, which prompted extensive touring in the months that followed. Every single drawn from that record achieved notable success. Following appearances at key regional festivals, aKING returned to the recording studio to prepare an EP slated for release later that same year.
