Alexis HK

Alexis HK, the French singer-songwriter born Alexis Djoshkounian in 1974, first built his career writing lyrics for others before stepping in front of the microphone to record his own songs beginning in 1997. Collaborations with jazz musicians helped establish him as one of the early 2000s’ most understated yet compelling radio-friendly voices, an artist who issued three albums across that span—Anti-Héros Notoire, Belle Ville, and L’Homme du Moment—before releasing the 2005 live set C’que T’es Belle, named for his debut single. A 2008 tour shared with Renan Luce paved the way for a new studio LP slated for 2009.
