Alexis Venegas

During the 1980s Chilean singer/songwriter Alexis Venegas first entered the local music scene by performing original material at the Víctor Jara's Festival. “Posiblemente La Verdad” earned him first place, and the following year he won the Violeta Parra's Festival with “Paloma Callada.” In 1998 he devoted sustained effort to his debut album; after three months of recording sessions the project, titled Deja El Miedo y Ven A Volar, appeared in October 1999.
