Biography
In 1980, soft rock singer Amy Holland reached the Top 30 with "How Do I Survive." Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers handled production duties on the track from her album Amy Holland, which also showcased contributions from Mike Porcaro, Tom Scott, and Bill Payne. A duet with Chris Christian titled "Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing/You're All I Need to Get By" brought her another minor hit in 1982. On Your Every Word came out the following year but found little commercial success. Backing vocal appearances on projects by First Call and by McDonald, her spouse of two decades, have marked her activity since that time. Finally, EMI made On Your Every Word available on CD in 2005.
