Biography
Antonio Cortes, known as a modern flamenco vocalist, first gained prominence through his appearance on the Spanish television program Se Llama Copla. Despite finishing behind Joana Jiménez in the contest, Cortes captivated viewers thanks to his thoughtfully selected songs—which blended saetas, ballads, and boleros—and his emotive, heartfelt delivery. Once the 2007 season concluded, he participated in a regional tour across Andalusia alongside his fellow contestants while starting work on his first record, Lo Que a Mi Me Esta Pasando; issued in October 2010, the project earned gold status. His follow-up effort, Cuando Quieras, Como Quieras, Donde Quieras, came out the subsequent year.
