Biography
ApSci, an abbreviation for Applied Science, operates chiefly as the duo of MC Ra LaMotta and his spouse, vocalist Dana Diaz-Tutaan, while drawing additional contributions from DJs DJ Big Wiz and DJ Boo plus percussionist Guy Licata. Their debut album, Get It Twisted, appeared on the Australian label Elefant Tracks. Quannum subsequently signed the act, prompting a revised edition of Get It Twisted that added several new tracks and surfaced as Thanks for Asking in July 2005. Dana appeared in the initial staging of Here Lies Love, the musical created by David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, in February 2006.
